Hello, I’m Natasha the artist behind Make My Mutt

Growing up we always had dogs in the house, being around them brings me such joy and I love to hear stories about the dogs I create, it allows me an insight into their personality and why the owner adores them so much.

I have a dog of my own, Nigel the French Bulldog who was the model for my first dog sculpture in early 2020 which got me started with Make My Mutt.

Start from scratch

Everything is handmade…

My dog sculptures always have the same starting point (a little ball of foil and a little silver plated wire) but once completed they are so completely different and unique just like your dog.

Being completely handmade (I don’t use any moulds) I aim to capture the personality of your dog, be it that glint in their eye or that certain pose that is ‘just them’.

Its about the little things…

Its so important to me as an artist that every aspect of your dog is captured in your sculpture, often referred to as a ‘mini me’ when I am sent photos of your dog and their dog sculpture together.

I spend upwards of 50 hours working on the finer details of your dog from the photographs I am sent to ensure nothing is missed and colours are matched as close as possible when painting to create the perfect likeness.

Pricing

Pricing is dependant on complexity and any additional features; the below pricing is for a standard Dog Head or Dog Body Sculpture, all quotes are valid for 1 month.

Head Sculpture

from £185

Each bespoke dog sculpture is completely handmade, I don’t work from moulds. This means, working from your photos provided I can create your dogs unique character and expressions. Depending on the dog breed, Head Sculptures measure between 3 inches and 4.5 inches in height.

Full Body Sculpture

from £205

Full Body Dog Sculptures measure between 3 inches and 4.5 inches in height, this is dependant on whether your chosen pose for your dog sculpture is laying down, sat or standing, your dog will be created in a pose you choose.

Why Make My Mutt?

Handmade With Love

All Dog Sculptures are completely handmade (not from moulds) a metal armature is created to support the shape of the sculpture then Polymer Clay is moulded around this to create the shape and unique features of your dog. If you would like to include your dogs favourite toy, a floral garland around their head, clothing or flowers at the base of the sculpture I am happy to quote for this.

Quality Materials

Using good quality Acrylic paint I hand finish your bespoke dog sculpture and protect with a semi matt sealant. Dog Sculptures are finished with a felt base to help protect your sculpture and the surface of your furniture or sculptures can be fixed to a wooden base. (various sizes and shapes are available from my trusted supplier)

Bespoke Design

After discussing what you would like, I request at least 5 high quality photos from different angles including the preferred pose and facial expression. The clearer the images I have the better the result will be, especially if they are close ups of details like the face and fur line.

Regular Updates

From the point of me receiving the photos to you receiving your sculpture please allow 7 weeks. I provide weekly updates with progress photos to make sure you are happy with your sculpture and give you the opportunity to make any amends.

Safe & Secure

Full payment via PayPal or bank transfer is required ahead of starting your sculpture, unfortunately refunds are not possible due to the sculptures being completely bespoke to your dog. Delivery with Royal Mail - Tracked & Signed For 1st Class for UK customers (price is included in the quote), for orders outside of the UK, delivery will be an additional cost.
